Silly Malachi
So I recently (within the past few days) had thought that I would never see one of my cats again. It was miserable outside, it snowed about 2 feet...and I had no idea where Malachi (my cat) was. He left Monday night and had me scared sick for his safety. Snow...Sleet....Hail, we had it all. I am sure all the cat lovers can imagine what I went through. I tromped all over the neighbourhood...asking people if they had seen him....froze my butt off in the snow. When I thought all was lost my neighbour across the way said he saw him "hanging" out with 2 other cats...just galavanting around the side streets. I was so happy, but I wouldnt let myself believe it until I saw him...so Tuesday passes by without a footprint near my door way...I could have sworn I had heard him late late that night...but when I got to the door he was not there. Wednesday morning rolls around and I am sick as a dog from worry...Greg calls and says he thought he saw him way down the street....again with 2 other cats....when he walked toward him he dashed away :( So I leap out of bed to get my things on to go and see if I could find him, when all of a sudden....Meow!! I ran to the door! There he was!! I was so relieved! I picked him up and bawled my face off hahaha! I called Greg right away, he had thought the worst when he heard me sobbing into the phone....."He came home!" I cried. So that is my story and I thought it would be cute to do a comic strip about how I was freaking out and he was off playing and sleeping over at his friends house. I have been drinking and decorating...which is as much fun as it sounds! haha I decided to take a couple pictures when the night time came, which of course is when the tree is at its best and the wine is flowing freely :) I had greg actually run out when I was at work one day to pick up these sweet bird ornaments I had seen at a friends house (there is one in the picture). They are truly beautiful on the tree.

I'm not sure if i'm the only one in the world that calls her mom a lot, but if I am.......get calling kids! So after I phoned my mom for the hundredth time that day...yesterday....she mentions to me that she is putting her art cards online to sell! I was thrilled because it gave me a wonderful excuse for me to promote her! So....here it goes.....My Mom.
A lover of felines. A beautiful woman. A truly amazing artist who has come along way from stick man drawings....given she was 4yrs old....did I say an AMAZING mom?! Especially for letting me call her so many times a day! haha
Anyone who comes in contact with her art instantly falls in love with it. Moody and expressive, her art stands out from the rest whenever in a show. She lives in St. John's NFLD and belongs to a beautiful Gallery. Please check out her art cards at this link. Just a little hint too...I didnt want to part with mine that I ordered so I framed them!!! They are so Beautiful!
